Terms of Use
Last updated: July 6, 2026
These terms govern your use of the Yearline app for Android, published by Jorge Castillo (“we”, “us”). By using Yearline you agree to them. They are short, because Yearline is simple.
The service
Yearline is a local-first diary app. Writing one entry per day is free, without ads, indefinitely. An optional Premium subscription or one-time purchase unlocks additional features (such as PDF export, backups, themes and premium widgets), always described in the app before you pay.
Your content
Your diary entries are yours, entirely. They are stored on your device and we hold no copy, license or right over them. You are responsible for keeping your device and any exports you create safe.
Purchases and cancellation
Subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Google Play under its own terms. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled in your Google Play account at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Trials convert to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends — we remind you before that happens. Refunds are handled through Google Play's standard refund process.
Fair use
Don't reverse-engineer, resell or misrepresent the app, and don't use it in ways that break the law. That's the whole list.
Warranty and liability
Yearline is provided “as is”. We work hard to keep it reliable, but we cannot guarantee it will be free of errors. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect damages or data loss — please use the free export regularly if your diary matters to you (we hope it does).
Changes
We may update these terms as the app evolves. Material changes will be noted in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Yearline after a change means you accept the new terms.
